Questar UK Wins Innovation Award at the National Association of Police Fleet Managers & National Police Chiefs Council Conference 2025

Questar Auto UK is delighted to share that it has won the Innovation Award at the NAPFM & NPCC 2025 event, held this July in Telford. The award, presented during Tuesday evening’s highly-regarded awards ceremony, acknowledges the game-changing work Questar has done in partnership with a major police force, marking an important turning point in public sector fleet innovation.

This recognition spotlights Questar’s development of the UK’s first entirely integrated connected camera and telematics system to be publicly procured by a police force. The tailored solution, created to meet the challenging operational, evidential and safety necessities of modern policing, incorporates real-time video streaming, multi-network connectivity, driver behaviour analytics and seamless integration into digital evidence platforms.

From its beginning, the project with this major police force was motivated by a clear goal: to provide a smarter, safer and more reliable fleet system. Questar’s solution allows for live camera access during developing incidents, supports safer driving through real-time ADAS alerts and offers retrospective video footage alongside high-fidelity telematics data, all while preserving rigorous data security within UK borders.

Despite initial technical obstacles during deployment, Questar responded quickly, absorbing extra costs to supply a customised SIM solution that maintained dependable multi-network performance without lessening security. A rigorous 30-day live trial within 30 vehicles confirmed the system’s effectiveness, with stakeholders from throughout the force, including data protection, driver training and road policing teams, validating the results.

The win at NAPFM & NPCC further solidifies Questar’s position as a leading developer in the blue-light fleet sector. With trusted applications in both police and ambulance services, the system is now being considered for broader use across UK emergency services, indicating strong potential to support forthcoming AI-led analytics, dispatch integration, and Net Zero strategies.

We greatly enjoyed being at NAPFM & NPCC 2025 and meeting with so many delegates from throughout the UK’s emergency services and public sector fleets. The event offered a precious opportunity to display our latest innovations, share ideas with industry peers and hear firsthand about the emerging challenges facing fleet operators today. From engaging conversations on our stand to the bustling activity of the exhibition hall, it was great to be involved in such a well-planned and cutting-edge event. Winning the Innovation Award was a fantastic way to round off a hugely rewarding few days.
